A Day of Brahma Kamalas in Koraput on 15th May-2013

It was a day of Bramha Kamalas , a unique white flower that was believed to be confined to Himalayan Region which lasts for a few hours after it opens up in the little plant , was seen in great numbers at Koraput today . Today evening , first I went to Dr.M.Das , former CDMo of Koraput where I was amazed to see more than 70 flowers in just two plants . Just then I got a call from Mihir Kumar Jena family at Pujariput that they too have about seven . The greatest surprise was waiting for me when I entered my house to find that there were about five buds waiting to bloom . So it was Ekadasi and a day of the flower to bloom in the air offering itself to the Divine . I prayed before it offering them to the Divine without disturbing the silence it loved the most

Sadasiv Tripathy's Birth Anniversary observed at Koraput on 21st April-2013

Birth Anniversary of Sri Sadasiv Tripathy , former Chief Minister of Odisha and son of soil from Greater Koraput was observed at Koraput today with children and officials along with members from the civil society garlanding his statue at Chasndan Pokhori in the town . The most interesting part is that this statue gets shifted to a closed room by the NAC authorities every year in the evening on this day after the observation and is placed on the platform on the same day the next year . This was done so as to protect the statue from the ill attitude by sections of Koraputias who constantly deface the statue whenever kept in the open . What a great spirit by people to pay respect to a personality who has given his entire life for the welfare of the people of the soil . Let Divine's Grace protect people from such an ill attitude

Meeting on Sri Jagannath Cetana at Sri Jagannath Temple at Koraput on 7th April-2013

The meeting of regional wing of Sri Jagannath Chtana Gabesana Pratisthan of Puri began today  at Koraput in presence of Baba Satchidananda Dash Maharaj of Puri and other scholars &Sevaks of Lord Jagannath from Puri .Sri Krushna Chandra Panigrahy Secretary of Sri Jagannath temple in Koraput offered  his intoductory speech .Organising committee members of many Sri Jagannath temples in South and western Odisha are attending the meeting

Blood Donation camp at DHH on 25th March-2013

Blood Donation camp at District Headquarter hospital , Koraput was inaugurated bySachin Jadhav , district collector today morning in presence of CDMO and other doctors.

The camp was organised on the occasion of launching District Body Lifting & Fitness Federation .
