District level youth convention at Koraput by NYK

A district level youth convention was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra  in the premises of Tribal Museum at Koraput on Wednesday . While more than 150 young participants from across the district discussed on 'Youth and Development” , Abhilash Nayak , Regional Director , IGNOU , Krushna Singh , Sarvoday leader and Hari Shankar Mishra , former principal , DAV college , Koraput addressed the youth on their roles and responsibility in realizing their dreams . The participants were also given volleyball , football ,caroms and other sports items for spending their leisure time qualitatively , Marinus Bilung , the coordinator of  NYK at Koraput  said .

National Integration Camp Inaugurated at Koraput on 29th Feb-2012

A seven-day National Integration Camp by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Koraput was inaugurated today at the Soil Conservation Training Institute,Koraput.

Around 120 youth from Kerala, Jharkhand, Maharastra, Tamilnadu, West Bengal, Assam, Bihar, Mizoram, West Bengal and from different districts of the State (Odisha) have participated in the camp.

Mr. Sachin R. Jadhav, Collector & District Magistrate, Koraput attended as chief guest, Dr. Abhilash Nayak, Regional director, IGNOU attended as guest of honour, Mr. Bhagawan Khora, Tourist officer, Koraput and Mr. Rajkishore Jena, Sports officer, Koraput were attended the inaugural function as guests respectively.

 

Proposing the welcome address, Mr. Marionus Bilung, Distyrict Youth Coordinator, NYK, Koraput emphasized nation building and brotherhood among the people of the country. He said the camp has been aimed to create a nationwide opportunities for the youth of the country and to promote national unity, peace and brotherhood for a stronger nation.

 

The Chief Guest Mr. Sachin R. Jadhav expressed that a programme like this would motivate the youth of the country towards community welfare as the youth plays a vital role in taking the country to newer heights. He also said this programme is also a platform to enable them to showcase their talents through various cultural and co-curricular activities and will also integrate in the nation building process.
