At Fireflies Bangalore on 22nd Jan-2012

Hope you would like to stay for some days in this room inside a forest with few people around .Dont worry this is one of the cottages in Fireflies Ashram , near Bangalore where I had stayed recently during the workshop on Participatory Theatre for Children .While it was a great learning for me in the workshop , the place was more memorable for its silent appeal. Believe me , if you dont make a noise, there is nothing to disturb you here.Could we not have such places in our forests 

It was a rainy day of a Winter Morning today . We were sitting in the conference hall of Hotel Raj Residency at Koraput discussing on the importance of Preserving the Commons . Then the scene of Koraput came to the front from the glasses of the window which prompted me to capture the beauty of my home town in my camera .Here are the Photos from those great moments :

We had a great opportunity to visit Konark recently . While there was nothing new that we could have shared exclusively for our friends , we had to capture some photos from the place . However some nice moments need to be shared . Thee were guides facilitating the visitors on the history of the  temple . I tried to listen to a few of them . Surprisingly they were telling different stories . If the gudes could be trained on the history and the real importance of the site , it could have been proper than saying something that might not be true . One more thing . There are some photographers without cameras in their hands . They ask you to handover your camera for taking your photograph with the temple in the background . Excited with their words , visitors handover their cameras and Lo! the photos they take could rarely be challanged with a person who was handling the camera for the first time . We had to give Rs.20/- for clicking four photographs . We need to take speical care to see that the tourists are not falling into any kind of false promises (Be it official or unofficial) . The main temple with idols of Lord Jagannath , Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra at Sabara Srikhetra , Koraput looks magnificient from which ever angle you see . If you had not seen it in some angle , we have tried to capture the temple from all the possible angles for you . See and enjoy its beauty :
