Annual Function of Surabhi on 1st May-2013 at Koraput

Surabhi , celebrated its Annual Function at Koaput today . Jhina Hikaka ,Sulbha Nipanikar Jadhav , Chudamani Seth and a host of music lovers from the town joined to encourage the children to perform thier inherent capabilities in the field of dance and music . While there were dances and songs by children on the stage , the musicians accompanying them on the stage were felicitated by the organisers . Guests spoke . It was nice to listen Ms.Jadhav on the stage speaking good Odia .People appreciated her talk .The tree was the only constant who has seen all the dances and listened to all the music as usual .

Children and their teachers in the UP School at Siribeda are keen to protect thehir cuture and tradition . Here is a move by them in creating a small tribal museum in the school premises exhibitting all the items that they use to perform their traditional dance .

The signature tune of Parab - the festival of festivals in Koaput is in process of recording in Dhimsa Community Radio Station at Chapar in Koraput block today . The musicians were seriously dedicated for the best outcome . Wishing them all the best .

Kalakar Bhavan , the place for performance and interaction among the artists of Koraput district was inaugurated by Jayaram Pangi , MP,Koraput today . Among others Sachin Jadhav , district collector and Raghuram Padal , MLA ,Koraput were present in the function . The building was constructed with a cost of Rs.40 Lakh . However if proper atention was not given , the maintainance could be a great challenge in future , it was felt .
