Good Number of literary magazines in Odia on the occasion of celebrating Dussehra have arrived the news stands of Koraput .It was nice to see names of poets and writers like Rabi Satpathy , Jaladhar Swain , Priyabrata Patra , Bijay Pradhan and many others from Koraput in many of these magazines contributing rich creative work in their respective field .We are proud of them . Happy Dussehra.

Kabita Pathotsav at Koraput on 14th Aug-2012

A poetry recitation session was organised by Koraput Sahitya Parivar at Koraput on the eve of Independence Day today . Poets from all across the district joined together in celebrating the event . Chudamani Seth , PD,DRDA was the chief guest .

Bhanja Jayanti Samaroh at Koraput on 16th June-2012

Lalit Mohan Patnaik of Nabarangpur and Prashant Kumar Kanungo of Mahanga were honoured with Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja Samman by Satta Sahitya Sansad and District Culture Office at Koraput today in recognition of their contribution to Odia literature . A function with poets and writers from across the state was organised in the District Culture Office .

Bhagavat Shukla , Narasingh Mishra and Raghunath Meher ,three well known Odia writers and poets of the state were honoured for their lifetime literary  achievement  in the state level Odia writers and readers convention  organized  by SCITM  in collaboration with  Semiliguda college and couple of literary organizations of Koraput district at Semiliguda on Sunday . While three new collection of poems were inaugurated by Brajanath Rath , Sarat Kumar Kar, Ramesh Das  and Krushna Singh , hundreds of poets , writers and researchers on Odia language and literature from different parts of the state  attended the convention .
